Eight Jade Horses-9-to-5

That's a lot of hyphens. This is a track done during my short stint with the Eight Jade Horses which consisted of:

Myself-Vocals
Jeff Nasty-Guitar
Will "Reese Lighting"-Drums
Shade-Bass

The track's about working and the joys that come along with it. I've got a few more EJH tracks I'll probly drop later. Peace.

    Early morning wake-up, gotta get my day set/
    Puttin on a uniform, gotta earn a paycheck/
    Can't relax, what I learned son/
    Paper stacks don't deliver, gotta earn funds/
    Every sunrise it's like, here we go again/
    Gotta strive cause my pockets feelin Ethiopian/
    Openin and closin, 14 hour days/
    Can't knock the hustle, gotta get paid/

    If you out doin ya thing, takin time/
    And do what you do to make a dime/
    There's oppurtunities that you can find/
    On the grind, 9-to-5/
    No matter the hustle, you can't stop tryin/
    Ya life is on the line/
    Puttin in work to stay alive/
    On the grind, 9-to-5/

    Earnin less than 30K annually/
    I'm workin for a poor man's salary, I'm poor man/
    Schedule marked out on the calendar/
    March into the office, check in with the manager/
    No other options, never cop out/
    When I'm clocked in don't talk to me until I'm clocked out/
    Daily routine just payin that it pays off/
    Countin down till I can leave, thank God for days off/

    There's oppurtunities that you can find/

    Keep the name on atleast one employee list without question/
    Because the other option is depressing/
    Don't look at bums and think, "I'm hired, they should can a job too"/
    I look at thugs and jackers and it makes me want to rob too/
    But tryin not to cross the line, isn't/
    Easy as you think it is this, straight lifestyle got me twisted/
    So if I'm slippin and the boss wanna tell me wassup/
    "Jus make sure the check comes and shut the fuck up"/

    I've been called in, I've done double shifts/
    I've done other's shifts, man I've left last/
    Break my neck for a steady pay check/
