Full disclosure: I am on the search for the perfect hip-hop cover. Maybe it's been done before, but most of the examples I can think of I wouldn't consider true "covers". Per se. Either they change all the lyrics (Big Pun & Fat Joe-Deep Cover '98) or too many of the lyrics (Def Squad-Rapper's Delight). I'm goin for either an almost exact replica or an interesting reinterpretation. Either way, I think the lyrics need to stay
almost exactly the same.
This turned out different then how it sounded in my head, but I'm satisfied with how it came out. Maybe I'll come back to it. It's appropriate this would be the first song I attempt to do this with since Em is one of the reasons that I do music. "Things that make you go, 'Hmmmmmm'..." Anyways,
